It has been a rather unsettling three weeks. I have lost my glasses, gotten a relatively bad haircut, had one of my watches die on me, had my housemate call me at the last minute to pay all of the down payment rent for the house (i.e. the first week rent), been slightly disappointed that one of the persons we wanted to move in with us choose not to and worst of all had my internship canceled on me leaving me high and dry. In general just feeling like chump unappreciated by the world and basically in a bad mood. Especially, when certain people around me don’t sense my bad mood and continue to bother me which then forces me to scrape the bottom of my patience barrel in order to avoid not blowing up on them.

The lost of the internship came to me especially hard since I had so much riding on it. The Lord had better have a super duper plan in place of it because essentially the loss of the internship means, no job, no purpose for the holidays, a lot of free time which requests from people are going to sap up and most of all NO CAR.

I don't know there's just alot of latent anger these days.

Fortunately I'm doing a summer semester course which occupies some of my time but it's going to end in two weeks time. I don't relish the idea of wasting my holiday away in front of the computer shocking as that sounds coming from me. I'd look for a job if it were not for the limited job market now both because of the economic situation and the number of positions available for undergraduate international students which severely limits me given that the really attractive jobs are reserved for residents. To say that there are absolutely no jobs would be untrue there are positions available if I were a registered nurse, welder or exotic dancer. As you can imagine in all of these jobs I'd be servicing a very specific clientèle. Alternatively I could just focus on losing the weight I've gained this year despite the less than encouraging response I've been getting.

Exams results are out, praise God I did better than expected, subjects which I expected a 5 I got a 6 and subjects which I expected a 6 I got a 7.

The internship still has not materialized yet. Hopefully I will not be spending too much time waiting.

Doing a sociology course to clear off an elective over the semester so that my final semester will only require 3 courses instead of 4. Interesting it is more closely linked to theology than one would expect. I have a fascinating lecturer who is *ahem* how would I describe her... She was once the wife of a pentecostal pastor but after continuing her studies into women studies ended up a left wing, liberal lesbian living with her parent and proud grandmother of a whole mess of grandchildren.

Going back to lessons a hardcore 9am to 3pm lecture doing summer is no joke..
