Been reading up online about the themes that surround that soon to be released movie; watchmen and I must say I am inspired by what a found the amount of detail its makers have put in is very impressive.
My study into the comic started with Wikipedia eventually branched to multiple website covering a myriad of topics and field. A sample of topics sampled include; Morton’s demon, Maxwell’s demon, Blake, Irving, Trefoils, Dawkins, Creationism, soft and hard determinism, Christian mystics and a recipe for chrysanthemum eggplant (a fantastic dish you should try).
This is of course not without fruit, I was up till 4 last night restructuring the mythos of my (thus far 4 page long) book which I have been working on since forever.
That aside, the looming exams and my thus far complete disregard for my assignments has got me quite worried. As I mentioned I’ve had so much more time this semester but most of it seems to be centered on not doing a lot of things that I should and doing a lot of things that I shouldn’t.
Sigh.
I suppose on some level this does have something to do with the lack of exercise. After all psych research shows that regular exercise can serve to increase one’s capacity to regulate desires, whims and emotions. I really should start putting in a lot more efforts. Thus far the results from my assessments thus far have been quite high but still there hangs over me a pang of guilt that I didn’t put in as much effort as I should. Yes I WILL start working harder.
The Lord has convicted me of other areas of weakness that I need to work on, including some as extreme as _______, ________, _________ , _________ and sadly still ____________________________. But for all these I have my hopes on the resurrected body and until then the renewing of my mind will suffice.
